Hello Barnstormers Patrons and Volunteers,

As your local community theatre, Barnstormers' primary concern is for the health, safety and well being of you, our loyal patrons and volunteers. With that concern in mind, and in order to comply with the guidance from the Oregon governor, the Oregon Health Authority and the Center for Disease Control regarding large group gatherings, the Barnstormers board of directors has made the proactive decision to suspend public operations. It is with deep regret that we find it necessary to cancel our productions of "The Lion in Winter" and "The Sunshine Boys" as well as our concerts and workshops for the remainder of the 2019-2020 season. We all agree that cancellation is the most prudent course of action at this time. We are optimistic that we will be able to move forward with our next season opening in July as scheduled, but we will continue to monitor this ever-changing situation and will announce any further delays or cancellations.
As you can imagine, keeping the theatre "dark" at this time will have an immense financial impact on Barnstormers. In addition, by offering credits toward our next season, we are looking at a loss of revenue that will impact our theatre for many months to come. We humbly ask you to consider donating any tickets that you have already purchased for "The Lion in Winter" and "The Sunshine Boys" to our theatre. We appreciate your patronage, support and understanding during this time and we look forward to bringing you many more quality productions from the longest continuously operating community theatre in Oregon.
Thank you for your long-held trust in Barnstormers. Our dedicated volunteers and patrons have been our top priority since we opened our theatre in 1952, and we remain committed to offering you a safe and enjoyable entertainment environment.

Onward and upward to Season 69!
The Barnstormers Board of Directors

For more than six decades Barnstormers Theatre has been delighting audiences
with high quality productions starring the Southern Oregon community!

Stay tuned for the announcement of our 2020-2021 season!

Playwrights Welcome Here

Playwrights Welcome Logo BlackPlaywrights Welcome is a new program developed for Dramatists Guild of America Members by Samuel French along with Dramatists Play Service, Dramatic Publishing, Music Theatre International, Playscripts and Rodgers and Hammerstein. The goal is simple: to provide free access to theatre for playwrights, composers and lyricists. We are invested in the success and artistic health of our industry’s writers, and by extension the vibrancy of the American theatre. We’re also aware that attending theatre is an integral part to how writers learn their craft and grow as artists.

We are proud to take part in Playwrights Welcome, which offers available tickets to professional playwrights on the day of a performance, free of charge. To receive a ticket through Playwrights Welcome at our theater, please call the box office at 541.479.3557. Note that writers must present their Dramatists Guild membership card when requesting a ticket.
